In addition to a media relations and events campaign for The Ten Thousand Things, Duckworth Publishers tasked me with submitting The Ten Thousand Things for the 2015 Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction. I took charge of the publicity when this novel was shortlisted for the prize, which also coinciding with its in paperback, and when John Spurling won the £25,000 Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction on 13th June 2015.
